Nextdoor: Neighborhood Network App Reviews

The reason I gave it a two star. It allows business commercial use! I want a forum just for neighbors, helping other neighbors! Commercialism ruins neighborhood trust. Just as the internet has been ruined by commercialism, Nextdoor, has been ruined by commercialism!

I love this app. At first I dismissed the emails, afraid it would infect my computer, but when the developers followed with a "real" letter, I started looking in it. It is a great idea to have this way to communicate within the neighborhood. Nicely done!

This is nothing but a classifieds app.

I am new to this group, but Im finding some very useful information in my area. This is very helpful.

Even after requesting no emails to stop them, you will still receive 2 or 3 down from over 20. Use a email that wont break your heart to stop the endless emails. And they probably sell your email because Ive gotten so many more garbage emails since I started this.

I like keeping in touch with the goings on in the neighborhood. It can be difficult sometimes with the need for all the scrolling. It seems there could be a little improvement to the site. Still love it though.

I like the news update of stuff that happen it is really neighbors helping each other. Also a good resource for referrals.

Enjoying this app very much. Lots more going on in my neighborhood than Id realized. Interesting to get others perspective in "discussions", celebrate someones fuzzy-buddy being found, find out if someones "trash" could be my treasure, and a myriad of other connections with my "Nextdoor" neighbors.

Nextdoor can be great for urban neighborhoods. But it can also destroy communities, as it seems to be doing in ours. when a vocal disaffected minority turns every thread into a diatribe over their "cause du jour". Use it at your peril

This is less useful than the website and lacks in two important areas. 1. Does not adjust to landscape viewing. 2. Does not have useful tools for finding what you want, classified section just disappeared. Clicking on people doesnt give info.

Love how it keeps the community connected.

Easy to use platform, just wish ogle maps updated more regularly for new developments.

Great concept. Unfortunately, like its Facebook and Twitter cousins, it quickly devolves into a b***h fest. I like that Ivan stay informed about events going on with neighborhood watch and our HOA, but I get tired of the incessant whining about trivial matters, and the requisite smarta$$ responses. The "anonymity" of being. Who d a keyboard seems to bring out the worst in people. Ill continue to use the app sparingly to stay abreast of any real developments, until I cant take any more rants about dog poop and parking.

Great app, provides good info on area and emergency notifications only drawback is silly arguments
